Waves in Papuan and West Papuan waters reached 2 to 4 meters high on Thursday, with the winds blowing at 5 to 27 kilometers per hour, says the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG).
Tri Utomo of the Biak BMKG said Thursday the waves reached 2 to 3 meters high in northern Papua, Sorong, Raja Ampat, Sarmi and Jayapura, while temperatures were recorded at 24 to 30 degrees Celsius, Antara news agency reported from Biak, Papua.
Biak city and its surroundings were cloudy on Thursday at 7 a.m. local time (5 a.m. Jakarta time), it reported.
