2012 Canggu Surf Community Contest and Music Day

Canggu Surf Community 5th Annual Surf Contest and Music Day at Echo Beach on August 12th

Come down for a day of fun in the Canggu sun on Sunday, August 12th at Echo Beach, where the CSC (Canggu Surf Community) is holding their 5th annual invitational surf contest and music beach day. Five surf clubs from Brawa to Tabanan have been invited and will be competing in two divisions: Under 21 and Under 16. There is also an Open division for CSC surfers only.

Besides surfing there will be eight live bands including the well-known rockers Devil Dice and several DJ sets by Electrofux and other local DJs. The surfing event is for the five surf clubs only, but the music and fun beach day is for everybody.

The surfing contest area will be held at the lefthand wave in front of Echo Beach and also at the nearby Sandbar wave, two of Bali’s favorite high-performance surf spots. Prizes for this year’s finalists are surfboards donated by the biggest names in surfing including: Bruce Irons, Rob Machado and Julian Wilson to name a few. Division winners will each receive a brand new surfboard from the event sponsors.
