On 19th January 2013, “The Happiest Girls’ Brand in The World” was beyond delighted to celebrate its 15 years of Happy Cheers with lots of fun-filled events and promos for loyal fans & friends.
To mark this special milestone, Surfer Girl has launched a massive online celebration on their huge fanpage, running until 4 February. For those who missed out on the ‘D-Day’ promo (where fans were gifted a cute Surfer Girl limited edition frame for every 250k purchase), they are now invited to submit online their creative congratulatory photo to Surfer Girl to win millions worth of shopping vouchers.
Further, in line with Surfer Girl’s vision of making a positive difference with everything that they do, Surfer Girls held ‘CSR Giving Day’ to celebrate its anniversary with orphaned children.
Around thirty Surfer Girl’s staff, along with Team Riders and their Green Ambassador, travelled 3 hours north to Destawan Orpahanage (in the relatively remote village of Sawan, near Singaraja) – home to 42 kids, ranging from elementary to high school age.
In recognition of the privilege that the successful company and its’ employees enjoyed, they donated Surfer Girl products, as well as food, basic clothing, and various school utilities. The best part of the day was when the Surfer Girl team was able to share participation in the ‘fun games’ with the kids. The previously formal situation melted into lots of fun and laughter. Surfer Girl General Manager, Ni Made Rusmawati commented, “It is part of our DNA to always aspire to make a positive difference in our immediate environment. This includes inspiring our own staff via series of Care, Share and Respect (the Surfer Girl version of ‘CSR’) events, like today. We’re so honoured to celebrate our anniversary with these children”.
