Quiksilver Indonesia is elated to welcome Uluwatu local charger and avid surf videographer, Made Ropik to their team roster. Ropik joins other local rippers Dede Suryana, Tipi Jabrik, Rio Waida, and the high flying Made Darmayasa Bleronk.
During the recent Quiksilver Uluwatu Challenge, Ropik showed his intimate knowledge of Uluwatu threading two of the longest barrels of the day on the famed “Racetrack.”
Ropik was the highest scoring Ulu local of the event and was only narrowly edged out by Rizal Tanjung into taking second place in the event, both finishing behind overall winner, Hawaiian and WCT Quiksilver team rider, Freddy Patacchia.
“I’m stoked to be a part of the Quiksilver team. The Uluwatu Challenge initiative and CSR programs that Quiksilver participate in are two events that I am keen to help grow. I’m looking forward to surfing and shooting with all the boys!” said Made Ropik.
“Ropik is the complete package, a great surfer, videographer and person. He is well respected within the Uluwatu community and will wave the flag for Quiksilver on the Bukit Peninsula, where you can find some of the best waves in the world,” said Sammy Gosling, Quiksilver SEA Marketing Executive.
