Australian Surfer Injured Allegedly Shark Attack at Balian Beach, Bali

Daniel Qeran has reportedly been injured in a suspected shark attack while he was surfing at Balian Beach, Bali. The 48 year old surfer was out for surfing on Monday, January 10, he suffered wounds on his right big toe and allegedly attacked by a shark at 7:30 am, according to Bali Coconuts.

“It’s alleged that the victim is suffering from a shark bite. The victim has been taken to BIMC Hospital in Badung,” Tabanan Police spokesman Assistant Commissioner I Putu Oka Suyasa said as quote from Bali Coconuts.

I Made Edi Sumardika, a witness who at that time were near the beach, said there were about 10 foreigners out surfing at Balian, and he supposed that something had happened to one of foreign guests who surf.

One of the surfers who came out of the water was bleeding from the toe, he added.

As request from the victim, Daniel Qeran rushed to BIMC Badung immediately.

Last April in 2016, American surfer was bitten on the forearm and elbow by a bull shark in Balian.
