NusaBali reports that the body of a 55-year-old German woman living in Tabanan, West Bali, was found floating in the Yeh Ho River (Tukad Yeh Ho) near the village of Tegallinggah, Tabanan on Thursday, January 26, 2017, quoted from Bali Discovery.
Silke Braun’s half-dressed body was found with her neck, hands, and legs bound.
Police are treating the case as a homicide Wounds were also visible to Braun’s head with bruising over much of her body.
The body was removed from the scene and sent to the Forensic Morgue at Bali’s Sanglah General Hospital for examination.
Police continue to investigate the case. Family members told police that Braun went missing after returning from a visit to the Kafe Oup Down on Jalan Pahlawan in Tabanan on the previous Saturday.
Braun was involved in setting up and operation of the Kafe that was billed as a Café and Meeting Place.
Police also say that Braun shared a rented house in Desa Tajen with a German man.
