A tourist from the Czech Republic, Kroupa Ondrej (28) has died in a motorcycle accident at Jalan Pantai Batu Bolong in Canggu that occurred at 4:30 am, as quoted from Bali Discovery.
As reported by DenPost, Ondrej was a passenger on a motorcycle driven by Jelinek Ondrej (28) that struck another motorcycle driven by Putu Budiana (40) at an intersection on Jalan Raya Canggu.
Both motorcyclists were traveling at a high rate of speed in a southerly direction on Jalan Raya Canggu.
Budiana was carrying a pillion passenger at the time of the accident, a woman who was thrown from the motorcycle in the collision and sustained injuries requiring treatment at a local hospital.
Both Budiana and Jelinek Ondrej were hospitalized following the accident.
Jelinek Ondrej was carrying another passenger on his bike, Kroupa Onrej, who died later of head injuries at Sanglah Hospital.
Police believe Jelinek Ondrej was drinking at the time of the mishap and failed to grant a right of way to the Indonesian motorcyclists.
