King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the Royal Head of Saudi Arabia, will visit Jakarta and Bali March 1-9, 2017 accompanied by an official entourage of 1,500 people using an armada of 8 aircraft, Bali Discovery reported.
Airport officials say Bali’s airport will be closed for at least 45 minutes during the slots designated for the arrival and departure of the VVIP party.
Indonesian Tourism Minister, Arief Yahya, sees the Royal Visit to Bali, set for March 4-9, 2017, as having the potential to boost Indonesian tourism. “If the King comes his people will follow,” said Yahya.
Arief underlined that the visit to Bali is a holiday visit for the Royal Household. Adding, “This is a golden opportunity for Indonesia to promote tourism. We are prepared to promote our tourism in a big way.”
Coming with a caravan of planes, the king will be provided with special parking at the Air Force base, according Ngurah Rai International Airport spokesman Awaluddin, as quoted from Coconuts Bali.
