The River View Spa in Jalan Kresna, Legian, was becoming the latest target by 15 police personal on Wednesday, June 7, as part of the ongoing Pekat Agung Operation targeting prostitution, drugs and other vices.

Bali Police Task Force II Superintendent I Wayan Suparta said the raid was prompted by reports from the community.

“The raid stemmed from public information that the River View Spa is a place for prostitution, operating under the guise of a spa,” Wayan Suparta told Tribun Bali.

Police detained 20 people, which included 16 therapists, office staff, the manager and the spa owner. They also found some gels, condoms, and cash were also secured from the scene as evidence.

“To receive a plus-plus treatment in the spa, you had to pay one million rupiah,” Suparta added.

Meanwhile on the same afternoon West Denpasar Police raided another spa on Jalan Kebo Iwa Utara, where a massage therapist was taken into custody and a soiled condom seized as evidence.
