Bulgarian Tourist Beaten with Chains by Three Foreign Men in Bali

Omurtag Alexandrop Dyakop (41), a Bulgarian tourist, was brutally attacked and beaten by three foreign tourists.

Beritabali.com says that Dyakop, who was staying in Kuta, suffered severe head and face wounds when the three unidentified foreign tourists with chains beat him.

The attack took place at around 7:45 pm when Dyakop was dining with a friend, Kancho Ivayloy Yordanove, at the Kafe Betawi.

Reports state that the Bulgarian made unintended eye contact with three menwho then began to hurl verbal assaults at him. The three men, who according to witnesses were Australians, rose from their seats and began beating the Bulgarian, escalating to the point where they attacked the man with chains.

The Bulgarian was rushed to a hospital to emergency medical care before making a formal police complaint with the Kuta police post.

Police continue to investigate the attack and interview witnesses in order to identify the assailants.
