A New Zealand man has been found dead in Bali after a night of drinking.
The 53-year-old man’s body was reportedly discovered in an estuary on Saturday morning local time, just hours after his wife left him drinking at a bar, Daily Mail reported.
The pair were drinking with friends at a bar in the Bali Palm Hotel, where they had been staying for about a week, according to local reports.
The man’s wife left the bar to go to bed, while he continued drinking.
A hotel employee found the man’s body nearby at about 7am and called authorities.
Balinese police did not note any signs of violence, neither do they think the man had drowned and believed he died about five hours before his body was discovered.
