Big waves today! 4-5 ft, head high sets, offering barrels and rippable walls at Sandbar this morning bit inconsisten but still surf-able. Already crowded since 06.30 AM.

Waves are 1-2 ft high at Sandbar this morning, sometime head high. Only several people out. Check also our forecast for more information.

Canggu has three spots:
Echo Beach: A Left-Hander ledge in front of the warungs. It can be mellow at high tide but it’s a really heavy double-up wave when it’s mid tide and the swell is between 3-5ft. At low tide it is very shallow and the waves is too fast.
Sand Bar: A beach break that breaks better at low tide coming up; the local’s favorite wave. The Left-hander that breaks at the peak is the better and longer wave with barrels and long walls to be ripped. Usually very crowded.
Bombies: A ledge out the back; it starts to work when the other to waves are maxed out. Needs at least 6ft waves, but it’s better over 8 ft. It’s a long paddle to get out there and a lot of work when you are there to keep yourself out of the bigger sets.

Lots of warung near the beach. You should try DIAN CAFE (they have) good mix berry smooth.

-Follow Sunset road until the end, toward Seminyak.
-At the end TURN RIGHT, drive 2.2 kilometers to the traffic light at the corner of “Arena Pub & Restaurant”
-Turn Left at the traffic light and follow the road for 2.5 km until you reach a big T intersection
-Turn Left and follow the road for 500 meters until you reach a Petrol Station,
- 700 meters after the Petrol station there is an intersection. TURN RIGHT and then LEFT
- Follow the road for 1 Km then you will see the sign of “The Chill House” and “Deus Ex—Machina”
-Turn Left and follow the road till you arrive at the turn to Deus Ex-Machina
-Turn Right at Deus. Turn right at the first intersection, following the road and at the next T intersection turn Left straight to the beach, YOU ARE IN CANGGU.
