No need to venture further than our front yard. Here’s your visual update of what happened at Skeleton Bay yesterday, the 8th June with international flavours like Benji Brand, Koa Smith, Aritz Aranburu, Anthony Walsh, Brett Barley, Cory Lopez and many more. Another day of memorable waves being ridden.
Aritz Aranburu is back with new web series #GoArtiz. This episode he went to Nias with guest stars Leo Fioravanti and Indar Unanue. Scoring endless barrels and learning about Nias culture.
Massive heart in mouth drops and huge pits Aritz Aranburu and Indar Unanue score big time in Nias. You can bet their visions out of these barrels won’t soon be forgotten.
The first swell of the year arrived at Donkey Bay and was met by a frothing pack of surfers who had travelled to the Namibian Desert for the infamous left hander. Aritz Aranburu, Matt Bromley, Natxo Gonzalez, Davey and Benji Brand, Granville West and a crew of SA guys met the challenge head on. With waves in the 6ft range charging down the 3km of point, the guys averaged walking around 30km each, not to mention tube time.
In the clip above, Aritz toys with Teahupoo on its smaller days and rides deep into the foam ball on its larger, a magnificent show of skill and determination.
Lose your mind and find your soul with Aritz Aranburu and Tiago Pires in the jungles of East Java.
As the swell suddenly spiked up at Pipe, water patrol sprang into action — and expertly navigated a heaving wave. Lucky for everyone who likes to get shacked off their skull, the North Shore has a set of lifeguards who are among the most talented in the world.
Kelly Slater, Aritz Aranburu and Sebastian Zietz enjoy a super session at the portuguese slab Cave in Ericeira. A day to remember in October 2014 with perfect conditions. What a day!
A company named Kind Surf put on a day in Capbreton where some of the pros (Quiksilver team + Mick Fanning) got to help kids go surfing – kids who normally wouldn’t find it easy to grab a board a paddle out. Kind Surf is a Spanish NGO that works with kids at risk of social exclusion, and they figured that around the Quiksilver Pro would be a great day to put something on for their crew.
While we never thought we’d be saying this, Aritz Aranburu must be one guy who really feels the sting of Keramas’ departure from tour. This is one minute and ten seconds of a very potent medication.
