December has arrived! We usually have a lot of rain and Westerly winds at this time of the year, but as we’ve mentioned before this year is rather unusual. Not that we’re complaining! Over the last few days we enjoyed a mid-size swell that brought Bali fun waves, 5-6ft at some breaks, and with the light Southerly winds we’ve been able to surf all day. The coconut wireless is buzzing with stories that it’s been barreling all over the island.
Kayu Vianna is a Brazilian kid who moved to Bali when he was 3 months old. Now-a-days the 16 year old travels around Indonesia chasing the best waves. Watch his first clip of many that might come soon.

Round 1 of the Oakley Pro Bali Trials was completed today at Pererenan in near perfect 3-4 foot waves, with 24 of SE Asia’s best pro surfers
The trials start tomorrow, Friday 14th, at Canggu beach, and the location has seen plenty of action with the contestants eager to get some waves in before the competition.
