Last weekend Indo was hit by massive and powerful swell.It starts from more than 3000 miles from Indonesia coast line and have a big amount of energy. 12-15 ft waves with +20 period for sure Padnag Padang line up will be full of Indo pros and legends that trying to get the best barrel at Padang in time of this Swell Of Decade.
Do you know those days when the swell is too small to surf at Padang-Padang, the waves at Uluwatu are not really breaking at Outside Corner, and if you try to surf Race Tracks or Inside Corner some bigger sets would just wash through?
Those days are what we call the Bingin days.
This short video features Balinese surfers such as Mega Semadhi, Agus Sumertayasa, Agus Julyantara, Koki Hendrawan, Raditya Rondi, Alik Rudiarta, Mukhlis Anwar and two Malaysian surfers Azmi Awang and Didaqt Musadiq. Most of the footage was filmed at Padang Padang, Bingin and Impossibles.
South Coast surfers Scott Dennis aka ‘Whip’ and Elliot Marshall recently thawed out in Indonesia scouring the coast for gems and maximising a healthy swell forecast. This clip, put together by Jordan Jaffrey, features the pair surfing up and down the archipelago scoring alongside underground charger Jack Nyboer, Benny Serrano and their Indo expert Muklis Anwar.
Last Sunday we got to the beach around 11AM, and it was high tide. Waves were barely breaking with 2-3 ft sets coming through. Around 12:30 a good set of 3 or 4 waves barreled all the way to the channel and we decide to go out and snap some shots . A few minutes later some 8 footers were coming through producing what Padang is known for… Wide and heavy barrels. Check the photos and leave your comments.

It’s been a good season – and we’re only just half way through July! In spite of the trade-winds unusually late arrival, early-breaking Padang and the WCT circus provided plenty of fun, not to mention an influx of surfing prowess to an otherwise already blessed island. We caught up with foreign and local pro’s of all ages enjoying some of the best Bali has on offer.
